LockBoxLabs.org is an open source site for software developed by Lock Box Labs on top of the Bouncy Castle and other cryptography APIs.
Generally the software on this site has been developed as part of our consulting activities. We are doing on going support for the software published here, so we do also welcome other outside contributions should you find something you either need to fix or want to add.
As the developers at Lock Box Labs are also involved in the Bouncy Castle project our current plan is to migrate most of what is published here into the Bouncy Castle project once it is stable. Our plan is that this will follow a time line of two years from publication here. As a consequence of this, rather than have a new license, all software available from this site is released under the Bouncy Castle software license agreement.
To see what we're up to and to download cool stuff go to our downloads area If you are interested in getting us to do some work for you or need support for either Bouncy Castle or any of the software on this site contact us today to see how we can help you.
About Lock Box Labs
Lock Box Labs is dedicated to supporting and facilitating the deployment of the Bouncy Castle Java cryptography and C# cryptography APIs. Our experienced development professionals have been developing, supporting, deploying and advocating the use of the Bouncy Castle Java cryptography and C# cryptography APIs globally since 2000, and have extensive practical experience with complex software projects particularly involving cryptography. Our staff includes current contributors and committers to the Bouncy Castle project, our CTO is the author of Beginning Cryptography with Java from WROX and our CEO has presented many times to global audiences on cryptographic subjects.
About Bouncy Castle
The Bouncy Castle Cryptography APIs provide a lightweight cryptography API in Java, a provider for the JCE and JCA, a clean-room implementation of the JCE 1.2.1, generators for Version 1 and Version 3 X.509 certificates, generators for Version 2 X.509 attribute certificates, PKCS12 support, and APIs for dealing with S/MIME, CMS, OCSP, TSP, OpenPGP, and TLS. Versions are provided for the J2ME, and JDK 1.0-1.6. A C# API also exists which provides much of the functionality of the Java one built on a C# version of the lightweight Java API.
